Dr. Maria Swetech

Dr. Maria Swetech joined Swetech Medical Center in 2020. She has a deep understanding of the importance of patient care and she perfectly compliments the comprehensive care that Dr. Jon Swetech, also her brother, already provides to the Southeast Michigan community.

Dr. Maria Swetech is a family medicine physician who grew up in Clinton Township, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at McLaren Macomb Hospital. Dr. Maria is a clinical assistant professor with the Family and Community Medicine Department at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board certified in family medicine by both The American Board of Family Medicine and The American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Dr. Maria Swetech emphasizes a holistic approach to medicine and regularly includes preventive care in her treatment plans. She enjoys working with patients of all ages. In addition to classic family medicine training, she received additional training in dermatologic procedures, women’s health, and pediatrics.

Dr. Swetech speaks Macedonian. She loves to cook and specifically focuses on creating healthy, nutritious dishes. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys cardio kickboxing, swimming, tennis, and yoga, as well as traveling and exploring her home state of Michigan.
